Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Coordinator for the Pathways to Professions (P2P) is grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Reporting to the Associate Dean and Principal Investigator, the Program Coordinator will coordinate activities, maintain budget, manage support services and deliverables, and prepare bi-annual reports to meet P2P requirements and timelines.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Collaborating with P2P partners and coordinating the P2P Initiative through all phases of design, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.

  • Executing project plans and leading activities of P2P Initiative to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timelines and funding parameters.

  • Providing leadership and supporting services for members from multiple organizations and implementation sites to ensure collaboration and cooperation in achieving project goals and objectives.

  • Conducting research and implementing strategies for recruitment, retention, public outreach, press releases, and public presentations of the P2P Initiative, including a web and social media presence.

  • Supervising program delivery, assessing participant needs, and ensuring implementation fidelity and financial accountability.

  • Establishing and maintaining records of all aspects of the P2P operations; and producing bi-annual financial and assessment reports on inputs, outputs, and outcomes as required by the project and the federal agency.

  • Networking with local, regional, state and national agencies; educational institutions; non-profit organizations; and private sector businesses for future program development and funding opportunities.

  • Implementing initiatives with independence in team-based environment under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator for the P2P Initiative.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience in grant management or equivalent combination of education and experience in performing the roles and responsibilities as noted.

  • Master’s degree preferred.


EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience with grant-based initiatives and knowledge of higher education operations required.

  • Able to take initiatives and work independently in team-based environment among multiple agencies and multiple sites to achieve goals and meet deadlines required.

  • Proficiencies to manage budget, coordinate events, secure deliverables, and maintain confidentiality under strict policies and timelines required.

  • Proficiencies in data management and report preparation required.
  • Proficiencies in written and oral communication required. Experience with public relations and media management preferred.

  • Professional dispositions that embrace feedback and directives for continuous improvement required.

Preferred Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :


  • Experience with large complex grant-based initiatives; knowledge of educational policy, competency-based education, assessment technologies, and advanced data analysis and reporting.
